This should have been his birthday picture!

It has finally happened! My little boy is feeding himself! It took going to his 12 month appointment with the doctor and asking him how to get him to do it. The doctor said simply, don't put anything in his mouth. He knows what to do. I had been trying taking his hand and helping him put it in his mouth, but I was always still helping him. So on saturday Gabe and I put Jordan through some intensive training. We put him in his highchair with food and let him have at it. He of course just cried and hit the food off of the tray and onto the floor. But we just put more on the tray and if he didn't eat it after a while, we took him out of his highchair to play for a while. It was a process but I am happy to say it finally worked!

My baby has taken a big step in becoming self sufficient. It is so adorable, I don't think I've ever thought it was so cute to see a kid get his little face dirty!
