It's been a while since I updated, not because we haven't been up to anything, we've been having a lot of fun this summer, but I just haven't been in the mood for posting I guess. Plus, we got a record number of comments on the last post, so I am almost certain I will never be able to top it! Anyway...
Back in June, we went to the zoo as a family for my birthday. This was Jordan's first trip to the zoo, so we were excited to see how he would react. And at first, because he had just woken up from a nap when we got there, he didn't really care much for the zoo. But then, we decided to let him out of the stroller. That was when he started to realize that this was supposed to be fun.
Oddly enough, Jordan's favorite animals to look at were a guiney pig, a snake (that didn't even move), and this rabbit type thing. He just kept running back and forth between them (this was an indoor exhibit) and pointing at them with his little finger and saying "ah dat!" in a cute, high pitched voice.
We had a great time, and I especially enjoyed seeing my little boy see these animals for the first time. I'll leave you with this video of one animal in particular that Gabe and I thought was quite... interesting.
Yes, that is a phone book. Fiber anyone?

Ah...the zoo! I am glad Jordan finally warmed up to it! Such a cute kid.
A phone book? That is way too funny. You look great by the way!
I love the zoo! I wish Spokane had one. I'm so glad Jordon was able to experience the joy of Hogel Zoo and that he enjoyed it!
The video is funny!
What a nice thing to do for your family on YOUR birthday. I'm glad it was enjoyable for all of you. Running around out of the stroller is always more fun.
