Kitty fiasco!

So on monday of this week, we finally found ourselves a baby kitty. We had to drive all the way to west Jordan to get it too. It was a very tiny little thing, just 5 1/2 weeks old. It had the signature spiky little fur, blue-grey eyes, and black and white stripes. It was adorable. As we were driving home, Jordan started getting pretty fussy, and so too did the kitty in turn. It was a little stressful, especially considering we still had to stop at walmart and get some kitty supplies before we could go home!

But the little kitty, who we decided to name George warmed up to us almost instantly when we did get home. It spent its first night in a box, and was very good at sleeping through the night. There was only one glitch, and that was that we had to feed it with a siringe. But we were able to teach it to lap up its kitty formula in a small amount of time. It turned out to be potty trained, and has not made a single mess in our house.

The next day it had made our house its home. It followed me around the house wanting to play, and even showed concern for Jordan when he would start to fuss. It rubbed its little head against Jordan's cheek and made friends. Jordan enjoyed watching it wander around the living room. Everything seemed great...

That was until night came... dun dun dun....

Our poor little baby woke up caughing, and had a pretty severe runny nose. He woke up several times during the night, causing me and him to lose a lot of sleep. The next night, same thing. This time I was only able to get him to sleep when I placed him in his swing. When he fell asleep I was too afraid to move him, so I made a bed next to the swing and spent the night next to him. I had to make sure he was breathing after all!

The next day, yesterday, Gabe and I had a big decision to make. Kitty, or Jordan. One of them had to go. Which one would we pick? Well you can find out next week on Kitty Fiasco...

Well...Jordan had a good run...but eventually, aren't we all replaced by newer models?

Jordan can come live with me...as soon as Grandma potty-trains him.

Poor little guy...poor little you! It's no fun to have to make a decision like that (although the kids inevitably win, don't they;). Is there any chance it could just be a cold?

Funny you should ask that, Whitney!
